AI Visibility Check for WordPress: AI-readiness checks and audits

AI Visibility Check for WordPress — listed in the directory as CyberSpark AI Visibility Check — shows how ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google and other AI assistants and search engines read your site, and what to change so they can find, understand and cite it — inside the editor and wp-admin.

Get it from the WordPress plugin directory — free · WordPress 6.5 or later, PHP 7.4 or later. In your dashboard: Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for CyberSpark AI Visibility Check.

It works on its own or beside the SEO plugin you already use (Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress and others).

While you write: live checks in the editor

Open a post and choose the eye icon (AI Visibility) in the editor toolbar. The sidebar checks the post as you type:

  • does the opening answer the question, are headings phrased as questions, are there lists, tables, sources, an author and dates
  • a target question: say what the post answers, and see whether the title, opening, meta description, subheadings, address and images name it — and whether another post already targets it
  • readability: sentence and paragraph length, and how subheadings are spread
  • on the published page: title, meta description, H1, heading order, canonical, indexing, language, structured data, social cards and hreflang, read as visitors get them
  • previews of the search result and the shared link, and the page as plain text, the way an AI model reads it

A column in the posts list shows each post’s checks, and a check before publishing points out what is missing — it never blocks publishing. These checks run in your browser and need no account.

Search appearance

Titles and meta descriptions for every kind of page — posts, pages, categories, tags, authors, dates, search and 404 — from templates with variables such as %title, %sitename, %sep and %desc, each with a live preview using your own content. Each post can have its own title, description and Hide from search engines. Open Graph and X tags for shared links are one switch away.

All of it is off until you switch it on, and stands aside when an SEO plugin is active.

Site tools

  • robots.txt: what it tells GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and the others, and per-crawler rules — welcome AI search, keep out training, or choose one by one — previewed before you save
  • Sitemaps: choose what goes in WordPress’s sitemap, then find published pages that are in none
  • Favicon: whether the site icon is set and big enough, with previews in a browser tab, a search result and a phone’s home screen
  • llms.txt, who runs the site (what your structured data says about your organisation), and an inspector for any page of the site

Audits of the whole site

Connect an AI Visibility Check account and run audits from AI Visibility → Overview:

  • Quick audit — the homepage and the site’s basics, in about a minute. Free.
  • Full audit — the whole site crawled and rendered, speed, AI crawler access through your CDN or firewall, real questions put to AI assistants about the business and its competitors, and an action plan. About 5–10 minutes; uses one of your account’s full audits.

Results appear in WordPress: on the Dashboard, on the Overview, and next to each post the full audit has findings for. An optional weekly quick audit keeps them current.

To connect, open AI Visibility → Settings and follow the three steps: sign in on aivisibilitycheck.io (new accounts agree to the terms first), create a token for the site, and paste it in. Only administrators can run audits.

What you pay

Nothing in the plugin. The checks, search appearance and site tools are free. Quick audits are free. A free account starts with three full audits and gets one more each month; after that you can buy more on the website, never inside WordPress — see pricing.

What it changes, and what it sends

The plugin changes nothing on your site until you switch something on: titles and descriptions, share tags, an llms.txt, AI crawler rules in robots.txt, sitemap changes, Organization and Article structured data. Switching one off removes it completely, and each stands down when another plugin already does the same job.

Nothing is sent to AI Visibility Check until an administrator connects an account. After that, your WordPress server — never a visitor’s browser — sends the address of the site or page to audit, the site’s language, your domain when you verify it, and the plugin, WordPress and PHP version numbers. The token is stored encrypted with your site’s secret keys and never reaches a browser. The privacy notice has the details.

Disconnect or remove it

  • Disconnect under AI Visibility → Settings, or press Disconnect next to the site’s token under Connected apps and tokens on your account page. Either ends its access at once.
  • Delete the plugin from the Plugins screen. It removes everything it stored and revokes its token.

Frequently asked questions

Is the WordPress plugin free?

Yes. The editor checks, search appearance and site tools are free and need no account. Audits use your AI Visibility Check account: quick audits are free, and full audits come from the same allowance as on the website. Nothing is sold inside WordPress.

Does it replace Yoast SEO or Rank Math?

No. It works beside them and adds the AI-visibility side. When an SEO plugin is active, everything that would write the same tags — titles, descriptions, share tags, structured data, sitemap changes — stands down, so nothing is duplicated.

What does the plugin send to AI Visibility Check?

Nothing until an administrator connects an account. After that, your server sends the address of the site or page to audit, the site's language, and version numbers — never visitor data. The editor checks and site tools run in your browser and send nothing.

Who can run audits?

Administrators. Editors and authors see the checks and the latest results, but cannot spend the account's audits.
